Lovely homestead farm shop, where we shop for the goodies to leave for you in your cottage. Re-fill the milk bottle from the organic milk tank in store. Freshly baked local produce daily, locally grown fresh produce and chilled goods.

You can get lunch in the cafe or a great breakfast. Delicious filled rolls & sandwiches if you are planning a picnic. The wine selection is great combined with local ciders & beers. Lots of nice spoiling treats too.

Local village shop selling general store produce & newspapers, coffee to take away & fresh delicatessen – the sausage rolls & scotch eggs are delicious. 

Fresh cakes & baked goods, magazines & ice creams. Post box right outside, they sell stamps too.

Gorgeous local Gastro type Inn & Restaurant. Beautiful menu, varied with a child’s version too. You take well behaved dogs on a lead into the garden & bar eating areas. Champagne by the glass, always a good sign of quality! Advisable to reserve a table, their Sunday Lunches are heavenly.

Stylish Gastro Pub with several eating areas to dine in, the outside terrace is beautiful, and lovely to enjoy pre dinner drinks from. Dogs are welcome, on a lead.

The wine list is really great too, & various local ales on tap. Stunning interiors & an open fire in the winter.

The Green is a warm friendly place to meet, relax and enjoy delicious food with friends and family. For lunch you can choose from the daily menu or our à la carte menu offers a variety of options to suit your appetite, from three courses to lighter bites. The evening à la carte allows you to select your favourite dishes for a perfect dinner.

Right opposite the historic Abbey in Sherborne, this pub serves small plates for sharing. The menu is diverse, predominantly Italian.

The Town garden outside is quirky & fun to dine in. They are jolly, cheerful types emphasising the relaxed approach to eating and fun in a group or as a couple.

Contemporary Indian Restaurant. Advisable to book, as it is really popular. Everything is delicious; the menu is extensive. They are friendly & the takeaway service is exceptional. A nice bar area to have a drink in whilst you await your order.

Owner Domenico Taravella is from Sicily, where passion runs deep. No more so than the passion for food and hospitality. In fact, Domenico began his restaurant career at the tender age of 14 – not surprising, because as he says, “Food and drink are part of the culture of my country. We embrace them at a very young age!”

Based at Hauser & Wirth Somerset, Roth Bar & Grill combines seasonal food with contemporary art and is a vibrant, informal and convivial eating place, serving honest food.

The restaurant, led by husband and wife team Steve and Jules Horrell, works closely with local farmers, gamekeepers and gardeners to use ethical British produce with a focus on sustainability.

Booking is essential. Look on their website to see what is happening with special events & seasonal dining services. The farm shop there is gorgeous, and the cheese counter is astonishingly good!

At the Chapel, a restaurant with its own artisan bakery, wine store and 8 bedrooms, all housed in a beautiful 17th century building with an 18th century congregational chapel and a stunning, south facing outdoor terrace. The Pizzas are gorgeous, it is a fun place for brunch too.

The bakery is divine, their cheese straws are a legend! It gets very busy, so do book a table. Children are welcome here, they have big long table options for family dining.

Plumber was built by Charles Brune in the early 17th century and has remained a family home of the Prideaux-Brunes ever since.

The hotel is very much run as a family affair; Richard is front of house and the ultimate host, alongside his wife Alison and brother Brian, who accompanied by Head Chef Louis, know exactly how to look after you. The family team will make you feel at home with their genuine hospitality.

This is our favourite destination for Sunday Lunch, we love it here. Richard & Alison are charming, lunch is gorgeous & they look after you a treat. You get to choose a few desserts to sample on one plate too. Absolute Heaven on Earth!
